New Delhi: The Delhi government is considering a new plan that could help owners of old petrol and diesel cars avoid scrapping or selling their vehicles outside the city. As part of its efforts to reduce air pollution, the government is exploring the idea of encouraging people to convert their old internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles into electric vehicles (EVs).
The policy aims to significantly increase the number of electric vehicles registered in Delhi over the next few years, says The Indian Express.
