Nepal floods: 37 from Tamil Nadu, 32 from Bengal among 133 Indians missing | Check helplines

More than 133 Indians, including Kailash Mansarovar pilgrims, are reported missing after deadly flash floods struck Nepal. At least 163 people have died, while damaged roads and communication networks have left several areas cut off. The Indian Embassy and multiple state governments have opened helplines to assist stranded citizens and their families.

New Delhi: More than 133 Indians are reported missing after devastating flash floods swept through parts of Nepal, killing at least 163 people by Thursday. Several Kailash Mansarovar pilgrims are among those whose whereabouts remain unknown.

The floods have damaged communication networks and cut off several areas in central Nepal. This has made it difficult for authorities to contact stranded people or confirm the number of Indians affected.

The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu and several state governments have activated emergency helplines. According to Samrat Tours and Travel agency, at least 59 of the affected Indians are believed to be Kailash Mansarovar pilgrims.

Tamil Nadu officials said 37 of 57 tourists from the state remain unaccounted for, while 20 have been traced. The group was reportedly........
