Former Congress MP Sajjan Kumar died at Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi on Thursday, August 20. The 80-year-old was serving life sentences in cases linked to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. Hospital authorities have not yet disclosed the cause of his death.

New Delhi: Former Congress MP Sajjan Kumar, who was convicted in cases linked to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, died at Safdarjung Hospital on Thursday, August 20. He was 80. News agency PTI reported Kumar’s death after receiving confirmation from hospital sources. According to ANI, authorities brought him to the hospital in an unresponsive condition. Safdarjung Hospital has not released an official statement or disclosed the cause of death.
