Would you pay $50 for a popcorn bucket? Movie theater chains are betting the answer—at least for some moviegoers—is yes.

To celebrate the recent release of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, AMC Theatres started selling collectible Yoshi and Luma star-shaped popcorn buckets that cost $50 and $45 a pop, respectively.........
