Farage whistles and the dogs run to riot … and desecrate the memory of Henry Nowak

Desecration piles upon desecration. The reputation of Henry Nowak: desecrated with lies that he was racist. His life: desecrated by the bestial Vickrum Digwa who murdered him in cold blood and should die in jail for his crimes. Henry’s last moments: desecrated by police as he lay dying and disbelieved.

The story has been unbearable to follow.

Then Nigel Farage takes us further into hell: desecrating Henry’s memory and the wishes of Henry’s family; ramping up hatred with deliberately provocative rhetoric.

Henry’s father, Mark, displayed great honour and dignity when he said the Nowak family didn’t want “his death to be used to create further division, hatred or tension. We want his story to make our streets safer for everyone”.

Mark Nowak made clear he believed “this is not a case about racism. This is a case about murder”.

Farage responded by ignoring Henry’s family, taking their suffering and turning it to the darkest of purposes. He exhorted his followers to respond with “pure cold rage”. And respond they did. Farage whistled, and the dogs came running.

Within 12 hours of Farage speaking, far-right rioters attacked police. Eleven officers were injured. Each rioter - a bigot to the bone - desecrated Henry’s memory, as sure as if they trampled his grave. They’re beneath contempt, like their political master.

Yet what is ‘pure cold rage’? We must ask that question. Have you felt it? I’m not sure I have. I’ve felt anger, but ‘pure........
