After a cold snap caused Halesworth Town councillors to delay discussing the bid, their planning and highways committee has now told East Suffolk Council it supports the bid for Norwich Road "in principle" but has "strong concerns".

Issues raised included the effect on trade being hit in Thoroughfare shops, bus stop provision, and pedestrian crossings.
