Plans for 550-home development revamped following traffic safety concerns
Developers had sought permission from North Norfolk District Council for a 550-home development that would close the gap between Cromer and Roughton earlier this year.
The scheme promises 192 affordable homes, a 100-bed care facility, sports pitches for the town’s football club and new allotments, expanding the coastal population by more than 1,600 people.
But it was met with strong backlash from the community, alongside objections from Cromer Town Council, Norfolk County Council and Active Travel England.
