Organisers of the Sheringham New Year's Day Dip 2026 have announced that the event has been given the green light after securing lifeguards for the day.

However only 375 daring people will be allowed to take part and they have to book in ahead of the dip.

In a post online organisers, said: "Safety has always been our number one priority.

"In light of recent news, we want to reassure you that we are proceeding because we are confident we can provide a safe, controlled environment for our dippers.
