Controversial plans for 40 new homes in Norfolk village set for green light

Developers lodged the proposal with Broadland Council for the scheme in Buxton, near Aylsham, earlier this year, resulting in backlash from the community.

Villagers were concerned about the increased traffic on a "dangerous road" and the strain on the local schools and health services.

But despite these fears, a planning officer has recommended the council's planning committee should approve the plans next week.

The new housing would be built across five acres of farmland in between Aylsham Road and Bure Valley Railway, which is currently home to around........
