Holt Town Council received several complaints about the number of pigeons in town and the nuisance they were causing.

It led to the authority exploring how it could deter the feathered creatures.

Large numbers were congregating in an alleyway next to estate agent Sowerbys and leaving "substantial amounts of bird droppings".

At a recent meeting the birds were described as an "ongoing nuisance" and members called it an emerging "public health situation".
