Troy Ward, who lives in Cringleford, captured the phenomenon, which left doors and windows rattling across Norwich and its surrounding suburbs at about 4.30pm on Monday.

In the clip, an almost eerie silence is preceded by the earth-shaking sound, which has been compared to both a "bomb going off" and an "explosion".
