Fuel station faces backlash as prices shoot above national average
According to RAC, the average price of unleaded in the UK is 148.55p while diesel costs roughly 173.83p.
Despite this, in Long Stratton, Stratton Motor Company has been charging 170.0p for unleaded and 205.4p for diesel - which the boss has put down to Shell's rising prices, the situation in the Middle East and other overheads.

One woman has hit out, calling it "absolutely sickening".
"Locals are mortified that the owner, Roger Bennington, would increase the prices to this," the woman, who does not want to be named, said.
"This has easily got to be one of the highest fuel prices in the UK."
The station's recent reviews on petrolprices.com echo the same message.
"Disgusting, the price set today," a user named Nigel wrote on Sunday.
"No need to be that expensive," Jason added.
Roger Bennington, managing director, said the price he pays for fuel deliveries is set by Shell.

“Our fuel prices fluctuate according to the cost of the fuel on delivery day and, almost as soon as the events in the Middle East began, the cost to us shot up - in some cases by more than 45p per litre in a month,” he explained.
“If they continue to increase, I’m afraid we have no option other than to pass these increases on to the customer. We do, however, also pass on any reductions.”
He claimed that “over the past two or three years” the station has “often been cheaper than everyone else”.
“As we have maintained our margins throughout that time, this suggests that other retailers may at times have profiteered when we have not,” Mr Bennington said.
He added he also needs to cover the overheads associated with opening 24 hours a day, such as “insurance, rates, wages, equipment maintenance and utilities” – some of which have risen in recent years.
