Mum behind cake shed launches business on Deliveroo
Paloma Martins, who runs the Sweet Nest cake shed from her Hellesdon home, says offering her Brazilian treats through the delivery service is helping her move towards opening her own shop.

The 29-year-old mum, whose Brazilian desserts range from brigadeiros and brookies, to shortbread and cake in a cup, said: "It's been an exciting milestone but I would also encourage everyone to order directly through my website where I also offer same-day local delivery so nobody misses out.
"For anyone further afield, I also offer nationwide shipping across the UK."

Mrs Martins, who has ADHD, is also on a mission to raise awareness about her own neurodiversity and, in doing so, encourage others to take the leap of faith and follow their own ambitions.
She said: "The Sweet Nest was born out of a really dark time when I lost my job.

"My whole world turned upside down. Starting this business wasn't just a fun baking project, it was my way of surviving a really scary situation so I could keep putting food on the table for my daughter."
She added: "A massive part of my mission is to advocate for mental health and neurodivergent people.

"I really want to raise awareness and motivate others who might be struggling. I want to show them that even when a situation feels entirely hopeless, you can still build something beautiful and succeed.
"Ultimately every single order that comes through my website brings me closer to opening a physical shop."
