Simon Dann and his family run a dairy farm in North Tuddenham, near Dereham, where the Dann's ice cream brand has been made since 2007.

This year his daughter Charlotte joined the fourth generation of the family business - leading the sales, marketing and business development for the ice cream enterprise, while her brother Alex runs the 400-strong dairy herd and the farm operations.

The family recently received a major boost when Norwich Theatre Royal began stocking its tubs of ice cream in October.

Mr Dann said it was more important than ever for farms to find ways to add value to their produce, with the price paid to dairy farmers for their milk plummeting amid a global production surplus.

And the 65-year-old added that empowering the family's next generation was crucial - bringing in new ideas and energy........
