Villagers hop to defence of toads they say are under threat from Holkham Estate plans
But villagers fear the endangered amphibians are being brushed aside from the debate over controversial plans to extend the season at a seaside caravan park.
Nikki Hallsworth recorded the Natterjacks' nuptials in full swing on Park Piece, a green space at Holme, near Hunstanton last month.
She said you could not miss the creatures, as their rasping trills made the village sound reminiscent of the Amazon as dusk fell and they burst into song.

The site is a few hundred metres from the White Horse Caravan Site operated by the Holkham Estate-owned McDonnell Caravans, which is hoping to lengthen its open season from eight to 11 months of the year.
