Blake House was once a derelict pub known as The Cock but it is now a luxury home by the river in Long John Hill in Old Lakenham.

Benjamin Blake was recorded as a licensee as far back as 1760 and it remained a pub until 2015.

After acquiring the building in a vandalised state, property developer Dan Trivedi then spent years battling to convert it into a luxury home.

With a sleek and modern interior offering a blank canvas for new owners to make their mark, the ground floor has a large open-plan kitchen and dining area with views that look out on to the garden.

Adjacent to the kitchen is a living room with French doors that open out on to the patio and elsewhere on the ground floor is a bedroom, shower room and utility room.

Upstairs, the property has four bedrooms, two of which have en suite bathrooms, and walk-in wardrobes.

The blue-tiled family bathroom has both a standalone bath and a shower.

Describing the exterior of the property, a spokesman from Sowerbys said: "Outside, the property is accessed via an impressive brick boundary wall, providing privacy, with electric gates leading to the parking area.

"Steps lead down to the front door, while the rear boasts a spacious terrace, lawn and a magnificent Willow Tree, all bordered by post and rail fencing.
