Overreaction Monday: 5 hot takes from Week 20
Welcome to Overreaction Monday, where we look back on the previous week’s action and root out some angles that could be prone to hot takes that may or may not be a tad over the top. Either from fans and the media in general or, maybe just specifically me.
Then, I’ll render a verdict as to whether I think it’s an “overreaction”, a “fair” assessment, or if it’s “too soon to tell.”
This week: Ottawa puts the boots to its demons. To knee or not to knee, that is the question. And can one drive turn it around in Sasky?

AN EXORCISM OF THE HIGHEST ORDER
Three plays, 21 seconds, 67 yards and a spectacular touchdown grab by receiver Ayden Eberhardt gave the Ottawa REDBLACKS a dramatic, last-minute comeback win, a 40-39 decision over the visiting Toronto Argonauts.
“The curse of the Ottawa REDBLACKS is over.”
This applies only if you believe in curses and think that the REDBLACKS were, in actuality, cursed.
Think about it. The Ottawa REDBLACKS, 0-16 this season, and riding a 22-game losing streak overall, a team that had been competitive in more than a handful of games but found myriad ways to squander chances at victory along the way did more than merely eke out their first win of the season.
They turned the tables on that miserable script they’d been acting out so often. Surely they’d been waking up on game days to Sonny and Cher’s “I Got You, Babe.”
When the trailing Toronto Argonauts drove into scoring range, aided by a big pass interference penalty along the way, it seemed the REDBLACKS had done it once again, and that 0-17 was just moments away.
Another chance frustratingly given away.
Never mind just hanging........
