We all have a part to play in stamping out racism at work

I have always felt I was too choosy with my friends. Up myself, even.

The trouble is, as I get older, I am getting increasingly intolerant. In particular I have had it with racists. Even writing that makes me feel guilty in reaching this point, it implies I was insufficiently intolerant in the past. I’d like to think I was not, but who knows.

Social media brings every dark corner of the world into our purview, and frequently amplifies grotesque acts and ideas. While I can largely avoid such material through active choices, now and again, I am inadvertently exposed to “likes”, “shares” and “retweets” by people I’ve connected with on social media.
