The Pension Investment Association of Canada is asking the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to maintain compatibility with international recognized standards for climate-related disclosure.

In a letter addressed to the U.S. agency — as part of a comment period on the SEC’s potential decision to remove climate-related disclosure rules — the organization reiterated its support for internationally-aligned sustainability disclosure standards.
