Wednes-day was one of those frustrating days where it felt like all the world was upside down.
After hours of trying to get projects done while working through a cold, I slammed my computer closed and went for a walk. A grouchy, quiet walk where I could sort through my brain and straighten myself out.
And readers, it worked! I felt myself shift from gremlin mode into a much happier, calmer space.
The weather was lovely, the sunset was spectacular and it was a great mental reset.
I walked back in my house feeling pretty good. I greeted the hungry cats waiting for me, got their dinner ready ...and promptly tripped over one of the cats, sending their food all over my kitchen.
At that point, all I could do is laugh. I’d rather not have kibble all over the place, but at that point, the damage was done.
I got out the vacuum and went about my evening, thankful I had taken that walk!
