New Delhi: As it shuffled its deck of national-level office-bearers on Monday (August 17) the BJP replaced its longtime social media head Amit Malviya with Deepak Mhaskey, a member of the party’s Chhattisgarh unit and an official in the government of that state.

Alongside appointing Mhaskey to the post of social media convenor, the BJP has also made Priti Gandhi, Shivanand Dwivedi, Alok Bhatt and Arun Yadav co-convenors for Maharashtra, Delhi, Uttarakhand and Haryana respectively.
