As bulldozer action continued in Topsia on Sunday, the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) issued notices to two more buildings in Beleghata allegedly linked to Raju Naskar, said to be a close aide of the Trinamul Congress. The notices were served to properties at 37 Barwaritala Road and 5A East Kulia Road, asking the owner to appear with relevant documents at 4.15 pm on May 26. On Saturday, the civic body had issued notices to five other properties, including offices and restaurants allegedly owned by Naskar. Sources in the KMC said one of the buildings contained unauthorised portions.

According to officials, the structure had originally been sanctioned as a G 3 building but was allegedly constructed as a G 4. Beleghata witnessed tension during the day after several flat buyers levelled serious allegations against Naskar.
