ISLAMABAD A district and session court has ordered authorities to arrest Imaan Mazar and her husband Hadi Ali Chatha, and produce before it within 24 hours after they skipping hearing in controversial tweets case.

During the hearing, Islamabad Police DIG Javed Tariq appeared before the court, where Judge Afzal Majoka inquired about the failure to execute the arrest warrants.

The judge remarked that the authorities should take action regardless of the suspects’ location, whether they are in Pakistan, India, or Afghanistan. The judge gave a strict order for the warrants to be executed, adding that if they were not, contempt of court proceedings would be initiated.
