The state of Minnesota sued Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) on Tuesday over his refusal to extradite the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer accused of shooting a Venezuelan man in Minneapolis earlier this year.
Christian Castro, 52, was charged with four counts of second-degree assault with a deadly weapon for the nonfatal shooting and one count of falsely reporting a crime.
Texas Rangers arrested Castro in May, and he has been held in a south Texas jail since. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) requested the ICE officer’s extradition in June, but Abbott has yet to sign the........
