Dua Lipa sues Samsung for $15M over image on TV boxes

Singer-songwriter Dua Lipa is suing Samsung for $15 million after the company has continued to use her image on the front of its TV boxes for months, despite her repeated requests for a cease and desist. 

The pop star filed the lawsuit on Friday, with her lawyers condemning the company’s disregard for her commercial value and alleging the South Korean tech giant benefitted from a false endorsement. 

“Samsung’s willful and deliberate misconduct has caused, and continues to cause, substantial, manifest, and irreparable harm to Ms. Lipa, while enriching Samsung at her expense,” Lipa’s lawyers wrote in the complaint.
