HIV trend
According to reports, the country is now experiencing one of the fastest-growing HIV epidemics in the region. From 2010 to 2024, the number of new HIV infections reportedly rose from 16,000 to 48,000 — a 200 per cent increase over 15 years. Moreover, an alarming 15-20 new cases are being diagnosed daily in K-P alone, where roughly 40,000 people are living with HIV.
The rising caseload is not limited to K-P. Data suggests that the HIV burden is fast mounting........
