Swindon women speak out about predatory men on nights out

Wiltshire Police officers highlighting serious concerns for women clubbing in Swindon sparked a lot of discussion online.

Over the course of two nights, police stopped and arrested multiple people loitering outside clubs - all of whom were male and many of whom showed "predatory behaviour."

Three men were told to leave the area and four others were arrested during the patrols.

Here’s what you had to say on the matter.

Stella Maris said: “I have always insisted that my daughters wear coats on the streets when out clubbing, yes wear club clothes inside but outside cover up.”

Victoria Kirk said: “Not a single woman is surprised by this and it could be about any town.”

Hayley Carter said: “How is that any different than it’s ever been?

“It’s worth noting. I was born in Britain. I’ve only ever felt frightened or threatened by white men between the ages of 20 to 60.

“And in those moments, I was dressed very discreetly. One of them assaulted me in the street in my school uniform. Think long blazer, full shirt, trousers.

“Another grabbed me in a street full of people.
