May I wish all readers of the South Wales Argus a merry Christmas and a peaceful New Year. This time of year is one full of emotions. For many joys are found in spending time with loved ones whilst we also raise a glass to absent friends.

Age Cymru estimate that 17,000 people over 65 in Wales will not have anyone to exchange cards or presents with this Christmas so let nobody be forgotten. Whilst the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and the Middle East continues to result in untold human tragedy and we think of these people too during this Christmas time.
