Star of BBC's Call the Midwife, Jenny Agutter, has hinted at a "disturbing" storyline in the show's two-part Christmas special.

The drama set in Poplar, London, first aired on the BBC in 2012 and was originally based on the books by Jennifer Worth and her time as a midwife in the East End of London during the 1950s.

Since then, Call the Midwife has reached global audiences and has become one of the most popular dramas on the BBC.

The series will soon be returning to TV screens with a two-part Christmas special before airing its 15th........
