Advisory issued over Calif. weather phenomenon visible from space
A fog bank stretching from Redding to Bakersfield, Calif., was visible from space.
A massive fog bank has again taken up residence across much of California, with the stubborn clouds visible in satellite imagery from the National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration.
A dense fog advisory was issued from Redding down to Bakersfield through at least Friday morning, with a major risk of reduced visibility in the southern portion of the state. The National Weather Service issued a Level 4 high transportation risk for the southern portion of the valley, with a potential for visibility to be under 800 feet.
