A female grizzly bear who was adored by thousands of visitors to Grand Teton National Park was struck and killed on Tuesday, park officials announced.

Grizzly 399 — the subject of a number of art pieces, an Instagram account with over 50,000 followers and even some tattoos — was fatally hit by a driver on a highway in Snake River Canyon near Jackson, Wyoming, the National Park Service wrote in a news release on Wednesday. A microchip and ear tags were used to determine the bear’s identity. Grizzly bear 399 was 28 years........
