ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted cold and dry weather for Islamabad, Rawalpindi and most parts of Pakistan on Tuesday evening/night and the next two days.
According to the synoptic situation, continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in the twin cities and most parts of the country on Tuesday evening/night, Wednesday and Thursday. Partly cloudy and freezing weather is likely in upper parts. Rain-wind/thunderstorm is likely at isolated places in coastal areas of Makran.
Islamabad’s minimum temperatures will likely remain between 03-05 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and 04-06 C on Thursday.
Rawalpindi’s minimum temperatures will likely remain between 05-07 C on Wednesday and 04-06 C on Thursday.
Meanwhile, cold and partly cloudy weather prevailed in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and most parts of Pakistan during the last 24 hours. Freezing weather prevailed in upper parts of the country. Rain occurred in Karachi and isolated places in south Balochistan.

Leh remained the coldest place in the country where temperature dropped 09 C below freezing.
In Islamabad, minimum temperature was recorded at 04 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded 92 per cent.
In Rawalpindi, minimum temperature was recorded at 08 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded 67 per cent.
