LAHORE – More rain-wind/thunderstorms with isolated hailstorms are predicted in Lahore and parts of Punjab on Sunday evening/night and the next two days.

As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a westerly wave prevails over the western and upper parts of Pakistan. It will likely strengthen this evening and persist in the upper parts till Tuesday.

Under these conditions, more rain-wind/thunderstorms and isolated hailstorms are predicted in Murree, Galyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Kasur, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Khushab, Sargodha, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Layyah, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan and Noor Pur Thal on Sunday evening/night and the next two days. Isolated heavy falls and landslides are predicted in Murree and Galyat. Windstorms/hailstorms and lightning may affect human lives, standing crops, and loose structures like electric poles and solar panels.

Lahore’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 30-32 degrees Celsius on Monday and 33-35 C on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, rain-windstorms/thunderstorms occurred in twin cities, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Punjab, north Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Bahawalpur remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 35 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 68 per cent.

In Lahore, maximum temperature was recorded at 32 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 60 per cent.
