The house special, The Eighth Wonder, contains four beef patties, turkey rashers, American cheese, house sauce, onion rings, a hash brown, caramelised onions, lettuce, tomatoes and pickle.

Chicken wing lovers can choose between the buffalo, honey BBQ, lemon pepper, ghost pepper and habanero and mango flavours.

For those with a sweet tooth Kinder, Ferrero, Biscoff, Nutella, peanut butter, strawberry and pistachio waffles are on offer alongside brownies and cheesecake.

Diners can wash their meal down with a thick shake, with flavours ranging from Kinder Bueno, Ferrero Rocher and Biscoff to more traditional chocolate and strawberry.

There is also a mocktail menu filled with strawberry daiquiris, mojitos, pina coladas and blue Hawaiians.

Number Eight's owners, Mohammed Akbar and Uzzal Hossain, are mostly targeting the student and family markets by keeping their prices as low as possible.

"I'm originally from Leicester where there are loads of food places," Mr Akbar said.

"Living there you really get a feel for what makes good quality food and it doesn't have to be expensive.

"I think affordable but good quality food is something Norwich is lacking at the moment, especially for students who want somewhere to go and chat and hang out while eating."

He added all the restaurant's ingredients are fresh and said he believes customers will be able to taste the difference.

Number Eight opened on Friday for a trial weekend but will celebrate its official launch tomorrow.

From then it will be open each day from 11am until 10pm.
