Just after 4.30pm on Monday, people in and around the city heard a loud bang which sounded like an "explosion".

Samantha Fieldhouse, who works at City College in Norwich, added: "It vibrated in my chest - it felt like a bomb had gone off!"

Many others shared their concerns on social media.

"F*** me, that was one hell of a sonic boom over Norwich," Lee said on X.
