Cherry and Andre Cappuccio took over Trends Unisex Hair Salon in St Augustines Street in 1994 and are set to celebrate their 30 years as successful salon owners at the end of this month.
"It's been good fun," said Andre, 59, reflecting on those three decades.
"You get your ups and downs - more ups than downs - so you just keep going!
"I'll be here cutting hair with my walking stick in the years to come."

Cherry, 64, added: "It doesn't feel like we have been here for so long.
"We've seen a lot of changes in the area and it's nice to see the street changing.
"We still have customers coming that have been using the salon since before we started 30 years ago!"
The couple, who live in NR3, met working as hairdressers in the city after their friends set them up on a blind date.
"From the moment we met we wanted to open our own business," said Andre.

All of the staff at the salon - which includes stylists Jemmima Roe and Sheri Proctor - will be dressed in 1930s outfits for the next two weeks as they also see in the 90th year of the shop as a salon, and have posted images around the shop from the last century.
"The salon first opened in 1934 and it's highly likely it was the first unisex salon in Norwich," said Andre.

"When we first took over in 1994 I got chatting to an old boy outside the shop when we first took over.
"He told me he used to work here and started as an apprentice at the salon in 1935!

"The only difference between the salon layout between then and now is the little partitions between each hairdressing station."

As part of the celebrations, the shop has joined forces with St Augustines Church to host a spring fayre in the grounds of the historic building on Saturday, April 27.
The Barber-shop Singers will provide the soundtrack for the day as they perform live to people browsing the stalls and enjoying the refreshments.
"It's going to be a lot of fun," Andre promises.
