Jeanne Pink, of St Laurence Avenue in Brundall, near Norwich, died last year after becoming ill with an infection.

The mother of Felix Snell - a previous landlord of two now closed city pubs, the Quebec Tavern and The Windmill - she had been admitted to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.

She developed sepsis and died on October 26.

An inquest into her death was opened at Norfolk Coroner’s Court, based at County Hall, on April 2.

In a statement to the court, Mr Snell confirmed that his mother was born on March 24, 1924, in Long Stratton and had worked as a pharmacy assistant before retiring.

Paying tribute to her via social media, Mr Snell said: "She was the kindest, funniest, most loving person in the world with a smile that lit up a room."

A full inquest into her death will take place at the court later this year.
