Mohammed Sabir Kawa, the director of Bury Newsagent Ltd in Aylsham Road, pleaded guilty to the offences on April 17 at Norwich Magistrates Court.

The offences included selling a vape to an underage person, supplying counterfeit tobacco products, supplying illegal tobacco products which did not contain the combined health warning containing a picture and text in English and supplying illegal tobacco products which were not displayed in the correct green packaging.

Vapes and cigarettes cannot be used by or sold to someone under the age of 18.

Following his guilty plea, Kawa was ordered to pay a fine of £2,334.50 and a victim surcharge of £933.

Costs of £3,646.67 were also awarded to Norfolk Trading Standards, along with an order for the forfeiture and destruction of the seized illegal tobacco products.
