New Delhi: Star Indian badminton pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty scripted history on Friday by storming into the semifinals of the BWF World Tour Finals 2025. The duo became the first Indian men’s doubles pair to reach the semis of the season-ending badminton event finishing as Group B toppers.

The duo, who are in a fabulous form in the ongoing event, came back from a game down to beat Paris 2024 bronze medalists Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik of Malaysia 17-21, 21-18, 21-15 on Friday. The world number 3 pair seemed to be a bit weak in the opening game but made strong comeback in the remaining two not giving any chance to the Malaysia duo.
