New Delhi: You seldom witness the coach of an Indian Premier League franchise involved in a heated argument with the umpire as its mostly the players who get into it. But in the IPL clash between Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad on Thursday, RR coach Kumar Sangakkara lost his temper after a controversial decision involving a run-out.

The incident, which happened in the 15th over of the first innings, involved Hyderabad star batter Travis Head. The third delivery bowled by Avesh Khan saw Head attempting to hit a shot but he lost the balance. The ball straight away went to RR skipper and wicket-keeper Sanju Samson, who targeted the stumps promptly as Head was outside then crease.

When the decision was referred to the third umpire, a shocking call of ‘not out’ was made by the official despite replays showing that the bat was not grounded as the bails were whipped off. After third umpire delivered a controversial verdict, Sangakkara was forced to react. He was seen having a heated argument with the umpire post the decision and was looking completely unsatisfied.
