New Delhi: Sunrisers Hyderabad produced an excellent all-round effort to outclass Chennai Super Kings by 6 wickets in the 18th match of the Indian Premier League 2024. Batting first, CSK could just manage a below-par total of 165 runs in the stipulated 20 overs which was chased down by the visiting side comfortably with 11 balls to spare.

Despite a good start by Rachin Ravindra and skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad, the CSK side failed to capitalise on it in the death overs. During the middle stages, Shivam Dube helped the team fly with his magnificent innings along with Ajinkya Rahane and Ravindra Jadeja added to it with his unbeaten knock of 31 runs but CSK still could not post a competitive total.

SRH, after few hiccups managed to beat CSK getting to their second victory in the cash-rich league as Aiden Markram’s stable fifty and Abhishek Sharma’s cameo helped their cause. Meanwhile, CSK slumped to their second successive loss.

The Orange Cap holder list has a slight change after the SRH vs CSK encounter. While Virat Kohli, Riyan Prag, Heinrich Klaasen and Shubman Gill remain on the first four spots, Abhishek Sharma has taken a leap and come onto to the 5th position on the list with 161 runs to his name.

As far as the Purple Cap list is concerned, it remains the same as Mohit Sharma leads the charts with 7 wickets. Mustafizur Rahman is on second place while Mayank Yadav is on third with 6 wickets.
