New Delhi: It was an early exit for star batter Virat Kohli on Thursday as he could not continue his golden streak with the bat in the Mumbai Indians vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru IPL clash at the Wankhede stadium. After RCB were out into bat first by Mumbai skipper Hardik Pandya, Kohli along with skipper Faf du Plessis opened the innings for the visiting side as usual.

Kohli, who is enjoying a fantastic run in the ongoing 17th edition of the cash-rich league, was unable to continue his run fest after becoming a victim to MI pacer Jasprit Bumrah in just the third over of the match. The star batter, who did not look in fine touch like the previous matches from the word go, could only score 3 runs off 9 deliveries before going back to the pavilion.

On the third delivery of the third over bowled by Bumrah, Kohli succumbed in front of a sensational in-swinging ball by the MI pacer edging it to wicket-keeper Ishan Kishan, who produced a remarkable diving catch towards his left side to get rid of the star batter. As soon Kishan completed the catch, MI started celebrating and Kohli was seen walking back to the pavilion in utter disappointment.
