New Delhi: Protests broke out late on Friday night at the Animal Birth Control (ABC) centre in Rohini Sector 27, north Delhi, after social media posts revealed the facility in a state of severe disrepair. Videos circulating online showed remains of dogs and animals reportedly being kept in distressing conditions, prompting activists and residents to demand an investigation.

The demonstration escalated as crowds attempted to enter the centre to inspect the treatment of strays brought in for sterilisation.
