Indian pharma companies bag seven-year high export orders in April-June quarter

Total revenue by Contract Research, Development, and Manufacturing Organisations for nine analysed by US brokerage major Jefferies surged 19% YoY in the April-June quarter. This is a significant improvement from the 9% recorded in January-March quarter. Total sales including non-CRDMO business increased 14%, while total EBITDA jumped 36%. This was driven by higher CDMO contributions and improved margins.

Kolkata: Indian contract research, development, and manufacturing organisations (CRDMOs) recorded their strongest growth in the last seven quarters in the period ending June 2026. This was driven by increased requests for proposals from global innovator pharma companies and improved order visibility for FY27. Jefferies stated in its sector review that total CRDMO revenue for the nine companies covered by Jefferies grew 19% YoY in the June quarter, up from 9% in the March quarter. Total sales (including non-CRDMO business) grew 14%, while total EBITDA jumped 36%, driven by higher CDMO contribution and improved margins, the report stated.
