New Delhi: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) set stern benchmarks for batting in T20 cricket as they edged past Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by 25 runs at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Monday. The 30th encounter of the Indian Premier League (IPL) brought up a run-fest as both sides displayed exceptional batting prowess at the renowned track of the Chinnaswamy to send the crowd into a frenzy. But ultimately it was SRH getting to home as they handed RCB their fifth loss on the trot and them grabbing fourth win of the season.

Several records were sent packing in the clash between the southern giants as SRH at first shattered their own record of the highest-ever IPL total by plundering 287/3 in 20 overs while batting first. It was courtesy of a brilliant Travis Head (102 off 41) who struck a 39-ball century which is now the fourth quickest in IPL history. Heinrich Klaasen (67 off 31) contributed with the second top score of SRH innings.

SRH waited for a mere 18 days to surpass their own 277/3 which they hit against MI in Hyderabad. RCB with their ferocious response also grabbed the fifth spot, removing LSG with their 257/5 vs PBKS in IPL 2023. This also turns out to be the record for the highest second innings total in IPL as RCB broke the previous record of 246/5 by MI.

Although both sides contributed for 38 sixes in total to end up as the joint-table toppers (most sixes in a T20 match) as SRH vs MI clash also brought up 38 sixes.
