New Delhi: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 is going through its second doubleheader day and the first clash between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) is underway at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The players of Rajasthan and Lucknow share a great bond with each other off the field and it was quite evident on the field as well on Sunday.

An incident including LSG’s Krunal Pandya and RR skipper Sanju Samson caught all the limelight as fans lauded both the players for their gentlemanly behavior and for maintaining the spirit of cricket. As RR opted to bat first, KL Rahul called in Pandya into the attack for the sixth over. Samson took a single off the first delivery that brought up fifty for RR.

It was the second delivery to Riyan Parag which he spooned back past the non-striker and Pandya tried to go for it. Parag would have been a goner off the very first delivery but his skipper indeed saved him. Samson stayed his ground and Krunal ended up colliding with him which made it impossible to complete the catch. What grabbed the attention was Pandya’s instant reaction as he hugged the RR skipper for a few seconds before bowling the next one.
