Flying to or from Delhi? Know these BRICS Summit airspace rules

BRICS Summit 2026 brings airspace restrictions across Delhi from September 11 to 13. Scheduled commercial flights at IGI Airport will continue, while special security rules affect aircraft, helicopters, altitude limits and flying operations across a 300-km radius around Delhi.

New Delhi: As New Delhi hosts the BRICS Summit, security arrangements are being tightened not only on the city’s roads but also in its skies. Special airspace restrictions will remain in force from September 11 to 13.

The restrictions cover flying activities within a 300-km radius of Delhi. However, passengers using Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) do not need to worry about a blanket suspension of commercial flights during the summit.
