India becomes Russia’s second-biggest oil buyer in October as China tops list despite global pressure
New Delhi: Despite sustained international pressure, India continues to be one of the largest buyers of Russian energy. In October, India imported USD 2.5 billion worth of crude oil from Russia, making it the second-largest purchaser after China, which bought USD 3.7 billion during the same period. India’s overall fossil fuel imports, including crude and other petroleum products, totalled USD 3.1 billion.
