The Issue: President Trump claiming murdered actor-director Rob Reiner was “a deranged person.”

I support President Trump’s strong, effective policies.

Losing him as our leader is not an option to me so I usually find myself defending him (“Don’s bizarre rant blaming the atrocity on politics,” Dec. 16).

But there’s nothing to defend here; Trump’s post about Rob Reiner was insensitive, to say the least.

Whether or not he has issues with Reiner’s previous statements, it’s not appropriate for him to callously speak ill of him just hours after his and his wife’s murders.

Reports indicate MAGA is cracking apart as it watches their leader unravel emotionally like he did this week when attacking Reiner not even a day after the film director was murdered.

A stable leader would have offered a few kind sentiments and maybe pointed out that the apparent killer had a history of........
