The town where people can't agree if they live in Manchester or not
Do you live in or have ever been to Tyldesley? If so, do you class it as more Manchester or Wigan?
This might sound like a strange question to you but it is the exact debate users of the social media site Reddit have been thrashing out recently. Earlier this month, Reddit user Confident_Battle_415 posed the question on the r/Manchester subreddit asking - "Is Tyldesley classed as Manchester or Wigan?"
Of course, a quick google search would confirm Tyldesley is a market town in Metropolitan Borough of Wigan. So not Manchester but certainly Greater Manchester.

Giving context for the question, the Redditor posted: "This is a question that I’ve always wanted to know. I used to live in a town called Tyldesley and wanted to know if people class it as more Wigan or Manchester?
Adding: "I haven’t lived there for about 10 years now but one of my old friends and I were talking about it recently and the question got brought up again. Of course, it’s a Manchester postcode, but the dialling code is Wigan - so........
